Welcome to Anglesea, A Japanese-Korean dining experience in the heart of Fremantle
Anglesea brings a fresh, flavour-forward approach to Fremantle’s dining scene. Tucked within the Convict Quarters, Anglesea draws inspiration from the bold, expressive cuisines of Japan and Korea; reimagined through a modern, West Australian lens.
The drinks program is led by Venue Manager Kieren Garwood, who has designed a playful, high-impact cocktail list to complement the food offering. “Korean and Japanese are two of my favourite cuisines,” Kieren explains. “In both cultures, there’s a real sense of celebration around food and drink. Kanpai, Geonbae, that moment of cheers, of connection. That’s the energy we want to bring into the space.”
A must-try from the drink’s menu is the Yoplait-OK! – Kieren’s twist on a classic Negroni, reworked with Shochu and strawberry yoghurt for a creamy, tart edge that’s both nostalgic and completely new.
To complete the drinks experience, the wine list has been expertly curated by Foni Pollitt, one of WA’s most respected voices in wine. Foni brings a sharp eye for balance, interest, and approachability; spotlighting local producers alongside exciting drops that pair beautifully with the flavour profiles of the menu. Whether you’re a casual wine lover or have a seasoned palate, there’s something on the list to discover and enjoy.
